Description

This Vintage Persian Kerman Rug has been hand woven in the Kerman region of Iran, and has been distressed and refinished in the U.S. at a size of 12’5″ x 19′. As a significant aspect of Persian (Iranian) art and culture, rug-weaving in Persia can be traced back to the Bronze Age. The earliest known examples of Persian rugs can be traced back to the Safavid dynasty during the 16th century.
