A sensitively drawn pastel study of a young woman with red hair shown wearing a blue dress and gazing to the viewers right. Signed lower left, ‘Sarah H. Hobson’ and painted circa 1935. Sarah Villarette Hoover Hobson studied at the Art Institute of Chicago in the 1920s before moving to California.
